It Takes a Village

Our grand opening was a success!  We estimated a turnout of about 110 to 120 people!  The sound of chatter and excitement bounced off the store walls as friendly faces filed in.   A lot of long hours and sleepless nights went into this project.  Our small but mighty team overcame many challenges and worked together for the greater good.  While our team at Bachman Family Farms went above and beyond, we still had the help of so many others.  You know what they say, "It takes a village!"  Our grand opening really made us appreciate the importance of our community.

From the cement pad being laid in the very beginning stages, to the handmade sign being hung at the end; that’s where community made a difference.  Thank you to the following for making this all come together:

  • Bachman Family Farms Team:  Dave, Amy, Jaco, Manny, Blaine and Don
  • Brian Bachman
  • Teft Plumbing
  • Hetrick Electric
  • OG&E
  • Tim Barns and Crew

It’s local businesses and individuals like these that keep small towns going.  I apologize if we've missed anyone.  There were countless people that stepped in when needed and offered their help and their support.  We couldn’t have done it without you! THANK YOU!!

While we are always excited to see new faces and the potential for new customers, there is something so endearing about seeing those all-familiar faces that knew you back when.  As the doors open and neighbors, church members, family and friends begin to walk in, you can’t help but take pride in your community.  Hearing former teachers congratulate you; those same teachers that believed in you from the very beginning and helped mold those big dreams you had.  Seeing your neighbors who could have easily bypassed the hustle and bustle and come on a slower day but insisted on being there for your big day.  Enjoying that moment with family, the ones who were there with you through it all.  The ones who listened to your fears, doubts, and frustrations.  The ones who prayed for you loved you and pushed you until completion.  At the end of the day, that’s what truly matters.
