Part 3 of our Meal Prep Series is finally here!  I’ve come up with a week’s worth of meals to get you started.  We take for granted those nights shared at the dining room table filled with the ones we love and a home-cooked meal.  Hopefully, this can take some of the stress off of your week and add a little time for what’s really important.  Let’s get started!

Day 1:  Taco Salad

This recipe is an excellent option for the picky eaters in your family.  You have your taco meat and your lettuce and then the rest can be personalized by preference.  Crème De La Crumb uses plastic containers for an easy grab-and-go meal.  You can even buy small condiment containers for your toppings, such as shredded cheese, salsa, and sour cream.

Day 2:  Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Mashed Potatoes

Who doesn’t love a nice juicy steak?  Add some garlic butter and a side of mashed potatoes, and you’ve got yourself an easy but flavorful make-ahead meal!  Mashed potatoes are a great side option that you can double batch and serve with several meals.

Day 3:  Homemade Lasagna

If you’re like me, you’ve tried the pre-made lasagna in the freezer section of your grocery store because it’s convenient.  Unfortunately, it’s just not the same as homemade.  The Happy Money Saver has a delicious recipe that you can make ahead and freeze.  I also love that they provide easy step-by-step pictures of how to assemble your lasagna!

Day 4:  Cajun Sausage and Vegetable Sheet Pan Freezer Meal

It doesn’t get much easier than this!  Chop up all of your ingredients, add some oil and seasoning, throw in a freezer bag, and voila!  This is also a great way to use a variety of fresh veggies from the garden.

Day 5:  Roasted Vegetable Platter

The roasted vegetable platter is a great option to pair with one of our beautiful cuts of steak.  Maybe you’ve planned for a day to grill out?  You’ve got your steaks thawed out in the fridge, now all you need are your veggies chopped up into containers.  Quick, easy, and delicious!

Day 6:  Slow Cooker Cilantro Lime Chicken

I love using my slow cooker!  With this recipe, you can prep all ingredients ahead of time and throw them into a freezer bag, then dump them in the crockpot the morning of.  Your chicken will be tender and juicy, and packed with flavor!

Day 7:  Ham and Cheese Sliders

These sliders are a great option that you can meal prep for your family or a crowd.  The warm butter drizzled over the top makes these sliders irresistible! Freezer Meals 101 offers easy step-by-step directions for this recipe, as well as answers to all of your meal prep questions.

Regenerative Agriculture, Series 2 / Keep the Soil Covered

Ultimately, covered soil equals healthy soil. When you promote healthy soil, you are promoting nutrient availability, reduced erosion, and sequestered carbon. The main idea behind keeping the soil surface covered is to protect the nutritive abilities of the upper layer of soil. Covering the soil reduces water erosion which can be destructive to natural ecosystems within the soil.
