At Bachman Family Farms, we raise 100% grass-fed, Wagyu or Wagyu-cross cattle, verified by independent auditors to meet strict grass-fed standards and proper animal welfare. Right now, about 70% of the cattle we butcher are Wagyu-sired, and every calf we’re raisin’ from here on out will be Wagyu. That means our grass-fed Wagyu beef just keeps gettin’ better and more flavorful with each generation.

It all starts with the genetics. Wagyu cattle are known for rich marbling, which makes the meat tender and juicy. Most of our herd today comes from full-blood or high-percentage Wagyu bulls, and we’re movin’ toward raisin’ only Wagyu-cross calves. Some of our older cattle were sired by Angus or Hereford bulls, but we’ve made the full switch to Wagyu so that in a few years, all our beef will be Wagyu-cross.
